CLINICAL PROCEDURES IN ANIMAL CARE I
(CSU) - 2 UNITS

Prerequisite: Approval to enter the Veterinary Health Technology program.

This class will meet in person for the first class meeting but will be completely online from thereafter. The first class meeting is scheduled for Monday 8/31/15 at 4:30 in CFS 91120. Failure to attend the first class meeting could result in exclusion from the course. Please make sure your email address is updated at the LACCD student portal so that you will receive important information regarding the class. ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE 35

BASIC ENVIRONMENTAL FIELD TECHNIQUES
(CSU) - 1 UNIT

Note: This course is divided between online, classroom and field instruction. The online portion opens October 3 and the classroom and field instruction will occur on Saturday and Sunday, October 17 & 18. Meet at 8:00 a.m., Saturday, October 17 in VLGE 8320. This course presents basic requirements and methods used in environmental field work, including preparation for field work, background project research, sampling protocols and methods and field logging. Personal field effects (e.g. boots, clothing, hat, canteen), field notebook and writing implements will be required. Saturday will be classroom work in the morning followed by field work at the Pierce College Nature Center. Sunday will be spent working in the classroom and in the field in the Pierce College Nature Center.

Note: This course is divided between online, classroom and field instruction. The online portion of the course starts 2 weeks prior to the classroom/field portion of the class and must be completed prior to classroom and field instruction and will be verified prior to classroom instruction. No same day adds will be allowed as a result. Enrolled students may access the online portion by logging on through http://moodle.piercecollege.edu/.
